Membership Directory & Buyers Guide
A membership directory listing current members, by trade, is published by FECBX. This directory includes location, telephone and fax numbers.
Plan Room Services
FECBX operates a state-of-the-art planroom where plans and specifications are easily accessible for members desiring to take off quantities and submit quotations. These plans deal with commercial, industrial, public works, and governmental construction projects throughout Florida. Addenda and attachments are carefully recorded. Daily Project Calendars listing current plans on file, bid dates, addenda received and location in the planroom are also available.
Online Project Information
Through "Construction Reports" on FECBX's web site, subscribing members can access the very latest information on projects in our planroom. This information includes, but is not limited to: where the project is located; architects, engineers and other consultants on the project; contractors bidding as "generals"; addenda, amendments, memoranda and other miscellaneous documents received; cost estimates; apparent low bidders; etc. You can actually view project information and bid lists. You can also search out projects by several criteria: location, trades (using the CSI format), etc.
Construction Bulletin
Members of the FECBX receive a construction bulletin that lists current plans and specifications available, bid dates, addenda received, apparent low bidders, etc. The bulletin is published each week. Members receive the bulletin by email to eliminate delay. It is sent by mail to members who lack email capability.
Daily Updates
All construction information is updated daily. A daily update is available on our web site and in the plan room. This update is faxed to members who lack email capability.
State Wide Bulletins
Bulletins from other Exchanges throughout the state are available in the plan room.
Blueprint/Specification Copy Service
The FECBX facility provides a copy service for members wanting specific sheets of blueprints and/or specifications. There is a charge for this service based on the size of the copy required. Advance orders may be placed.
Reservation Service
The FECBX provides a reservation service for overnight or weekend use of plans and specifications. Plans reserved must be picked up between 3:00 p.m. and 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, and returned the following business day before 9:00 a.m.
Classified Ads
Members may use the Newsletter section on the web to advertise employment needs, items for sale, etc.
American Institute of Architects Documents
AIA documents are available to members at discounted prices.
Facsimile Service
A fax machine is available for members to send and receive information at a nominal fee.
Telephone Inquiry Service
This is a convenient way for members to check a list of bidders, addenda, bid results and other matters.
